Each suggestion is backed by your own revenue numbers, and a person reviews every one. The owner asks follow-up questions by text.

Sessions and pageviews, User demographics and geography, Traffic source and medium.
From WooCommerce
Orders and revenue, Product performance, Customer data.

WooCommerce is on the integration roadmap, so the matching described here starts when that connector ships.

the problem

Which campaigns should you grow and which should you stop?

Each campaign gets judged inside its own platform. A Meta campaign can look weak on its own and still drive 40% of your Google conversions. You cannot see that from inside Meta.

How askotter handles it

askotter reads Google Analytics and WooCommerce side by side, so it can improve campaigns using numbers from every connected account.

A person checks the result before it reaches you. This is part of our GA4 setup work.

matching the records

How Google Analytics and WooCommerce records line up

Google Analytics and WooCommerce both carry an order or transaction number. When the same number appears on both sides the match is exact, one Google Analytics record to one WooCommerce record, with no guessing about which customer it was.

Google Analytics and WooCommerce both keep the UTM source, medium and campaign values from the visit, so activity lines up campaign by campaign even when no single person can be matched.

Shared between the two: the order or transaction number and the UTM campaign tags.

What campaign optimization uses from each

Campaign optimization needs cost on one side and outcome on the other.

From Google Analytics that means conversion rate by source, medium and campaign. From WooCommerce it means revenue by UTM campaign.

WooCommerce is on the integration roadmap, so the matching described here starts when that connector ships.

What each tool sees on its ownShow less

Google Analytics on its own

GA4 sees what people do on the site. It does not see refunds, repeat purchases made offline, or the deal a lead turned into later.

Timing. GA4 collects events in near real time, and Google says standard reports can take 24 to 48 hours to finish processing.

Access. The GA4 Data API with read access to the property.

WooCommerce on its own

WooCommerce sees the order and, on recent versions, its source tag. It cannot see ad cost or the visits that did not buy.

Timing. WooCommerce writes each order when it is placed, and recent versions save the order's source and UTM values with it.

Access. The WooCommerce REST API with a read-only key.
