Sample site. Northbay Physical Therapy is an invented business, and every name, price and review here is invented too.
Why it is built this way ▾

The features a site in this trade needs. Each one is working somewhere on this sample:

  1. Direct access stripMost visitors do not know they can book without a doctor sending them, so the no-referral line sits above everything else.
  2. Injury pickerPeople search their injury, so knee and ACL, shoulder, back, post-surgical and sports injuries each have a page and a timeline.
  3. First visit in three stepsNot knowing what happens at the first visit stops bookings, so the evaluation, the plan and the first treatment are spelled out.
  4. Cost and coverageTherapy is a course of visits, so the cash rate, the six-visit package and the plans we take are all on the page.
  5. Outcome reviewsA named outcome with a timeline attached tells a new patient more than a star rating.

Home / Services / Shoulder pain

Shoulder pain

Rotator cuff strains, impingement and frozen shoulder.

Shoulder pain that wakes you at night or stops you reaching overhead is often the rotator cuff or the tissue around it. We test strength and range of motion in each direction to find which movements hurt and which muscles are not doing their share.

Treatment combines hands-on work with a progressive strengthening program you can do at home with a band. Frozen shoulder takes longer, often several months, and we set the plan to match.

What is included

  • Rotator cuff and impingement programs
  • Frozen shoulder plans with monthly check-ins
  • Home program using one resistance band
  • Referral for imaging when strength testing calls for it

Common questions

Do I need an MRI before therapy?

Usually not. If your strength testing suggests a full tear, we send you to a physician for imaging and a surgical opinion.

Can I keep working out?

Usually yes, with changes. We tell you which exercises to keep and which to pause.
