Knee pain from running, a twist on the field or wear over time usually comes down to strength, control and how the joint is loaded. Your evaluation measures range of motion and strength on both legs, so we have numbers to track from the first week.
For an ACL tear, we work with you before surgery to calm the knee and build strength, and after surgery we follow your surgeon's protocol. Return to sport after an ACL reconstruction commonly takes nine to twelve months, and we test strength and hopping before we clear you.
What is included
- Strength measured on both legs at every phase
- Pre-surgery and post-surgery ACL programs
- Return-to-sport testing before clearance
- Meniscus and patellar pain plans
Common questions
Should I do therapy before ACL surgery?
Most surgeons want the knee calm, straight and strong before surgery, and patients who do this often recover faster. Ask your surgeon, and we can start as soon as you call.
How many visits will I need?
A sore knee without surgery often needs six to ten visits. ACL rehab runs longer, and we give you the expected count in writing at the first visit.
