Annual physicals

A yearly checkup for adults, with the screenings due for your age.

An annual physical covers your blood pressure, weight, heart and lungs, a review of your medications, and the screenings due for your age, such as cholesterol, colon and cervical cancer screening. Most insurance plans cover a preventive visit once a year at no cost to you.

If you are paying yourself, an adult physical is $225 and routine lab work adds $60 to $140 depending on the panel. We tell you the lab price before the blood draw. Work, school and sports forms can be completed at the same visit.

Common questions

Do I need to fast before my physical?

Only if we are checking cholesterol or blood sugar. We tell you when we confirm your appointment, and you can drink water either way.

Can I bring up a new problem at my physical?

Yes. Some plans bill the new problem as a separate office visit, so we let you know before we go into it.
