Dog wellness and vaccines

Yearly exams, core vaccines and parasite prevention, from puppy to senior.

A yearly wellness exam is $65 and covers a full physical, weight and body condition, and a talk about diet and behavior. Core vaccines start at $28 each: rabies, and the DHPP combination against distemper, parvovirus and hepatitis. We recommend Leptospirosis and Bordetella based on where your dog goes and what it does.

Puppies come in every three to four weeks from about 8 weeks old until 16 weeks, and we price the full puppy series before the first visit. A yearly heartworm test is $48.

Common questions

Does my dog need every vaccine every year?

No. After the puppy series, DHPP is usually given every three years and rabies every one or three years depending on the vaccine. We keep a schedule for your dog and remind you by text.

Is heartworm a problem here?

It is less common in Colorado than in the South, but it is present, and a monthly preventive is cheaper than treatment. We test once a year.
