Cat care

Exams in a quiet cat-only room, with handling built around lower stress.

Cats get a separate waiting area and a cat-only exam room with pheromone diffusers. Our staff are Fear Free certified, which means we examine your cat where it feels safest, often in the bottom of its carrier, and go slowly.

A cat wellness exam is $65. The core vaccines are rabies and FVRCP, starting at $28 each. If your cat goes outdoors, we also recommend the feline leukemia vaccine.

Common questions

My cat hates the carrier. Any tips?

Leave the carrier out at home for a week with a towel inside, and cover it with a light blanket on the drive. If your cat is very anxious, ask us about a calming medication before the visit.

Does an indoor cat need vaccines?

Yes. Most Colorado counties and towns require rabies vaccination for cats, and FVRCP protects against viruses that can come in on shoes and clothing.
