Dental cleaning

Cleaning and polishing under anesthesia, with dental X-rays.

Most dogs and cats show signs of dental disease by age three. A cleaning under anesthesia starts at $420 and includes pre-anesthetic bloodwork, monitoring, full-mouth X-rays, scaling and polishing. Extractions, if needed, are priced separately.

We send you a written estimate with a low and high figure before the procedure, and we call you during the cleaning if we find anything that changes the plan.

Common questions

Is anesthesia safe for my older pet?

For most senior pets, yes. The pre-anesthetic bloodwork is how we check, and a technician monitors heart rate, oxygen and blood pressure the whole time.

What about anesthesia-free cleanings?

They only clean the visible surface. The disease is under the gumline, which needs anesthesia and X-rays to treat properly.
