Lighting and ceiling fans

Recessed lights, fixtures, ceiling fans and outdoor lighting, installed with the patching done.

Most kitchens and living rooms take four to eight recessed lights. We install slim LED wafer lights that need no attic access, on a dimmer, at $190 per light for a set of four or more. Fixture swaps and ceiling fans on an existing box are $165.

Outdoor work covers motion floodlights, porch fixtures and post lights, with buried cable to a new post quoted by length. We cut small, clean holes and patch them, and we leave the room swept.

Common questions

Do I need attic access for recessed lights?

Wafer lights need about 2 inches of ceiling depth, so we can install them under a second floor or a finished attic.

Will you hang a heavy chandelier?

Yes. Fixtures over 50 pounds need a rated box and brace, which adds about $130.
